The vice president the United States of America Mrs. Kamala Harris had a resounding welcome yesterday Sunday 26th March 2023 when she touched down in Ghana at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) Accra-Ghana.
She was greeted by the vice president of the land, Dr. Alhaji Mahamud Bawumia and the Greater Accra regional minister Hon. Henry Quartey and entertained by some cultural dancers.
Her week long visit to Africa is intended to deepen the U.S – Africa relationship and friendship between the people of the United States and those who live on this continent.
Her first stop is in Ghana and the main discussions with the president of the land H.E Nana Akuffo Addo will take place on Monday 27th March 2023, it likely to focus on the economy and security challenges in the boarder regions. A joint conference is also expected to be held.
From Ghana she plans to visit Tanzania and Zambia before she returns to Washington on April 2.
