With each passing day, the Ghanaian movie industry is quickly catching up with the world leaders in film making. The growth is seen in both the story lines, production and marketing and very soon, Ghanaians would be celebrating another major industry growth.
Naa Ashorkor is playing a key role in Ghana’s first-ever Sci-Fi feature film, she is playing the character called Bintu. Bintu is a warrior Queen. The title of the soon be released film is “Adam The First”.
The storyline sets in post nuclear war devasted earth. The planet had become mostly uninhabitable for humans. To save the human race, The council of 9, an African Federation formed after the chaos, sends Adam played by Agbeko ‘Bee’ Mortty, an emissary of mankind, into the cosmos to find mankind a new home.
Naa Ashorkor was thrilled to be a part of this movie as she announced on her social media handles “I’ve waited sooooooo long to share this !!!!! For the first time, I play a badass warrior Queen #Bintu in #AdamTheFirst,” she wrote on Instagram.
The project which was announced three years ago in July 2020 is now about to be released soon. The Film is directed by a Ghanaian director called emjeed.
