This Year’s Grammys was the 65th and we had our Ghanaian music icons making their debut on the red carpet.
Present were KiDi the Golden Boy with the “gyal dem suga” anthem and our reigning artist of the year at VGMAs. Our very own Stonebwoy, the hardworking afrobeats and afro dancehall art was buzzing in all black.
The king of the Volta Music Edem go get ’em was also live to support our Grammy nominated in the category of best Best Global Music Performance for his work “Neva Bow Down” featuring Blvk H3ro.
Even though Rocky lost out to Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini and Nomcebo Zikode for their song Bayethe. Regardless we say a very big Ayekoo to our brother Rocky and the whole country is proud of you for your representation. We know our Ghanaian arts will strive in the coming years.
Rocky Dawuni has had two previous nominations in 2015 and 2021.
Madam Denta Amoateng the president of GUBA was also present has she glows in a Ghanaian made gown like a fine wine.
The awards took place at the Crypto.com Arena and the host was non other than Trevor Noah on Sunday 5th February 2023.
