Defending champions, Hearts of Oak, were eliminated from the 2022/23 MTN FA Cup at the Round of 32 stage after a 1-0 defeat to Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The match, which was filled with drama, was decided by a 9th-minute curler from Agyenim Boateng Mensah. Both teams had several opportunities to score but failed to convert.
In the final minutes of the game, Hearts were awarded a penalty during stoppage time. However, they were unable to convert it into a goal and force the game into penalty shootouts.
Other games included a shocking 4-1 victory by King Faisal over Bibiani GoldStars at Dun’s Park.
At the Aliu Mahama Stadium, RTU also defeated Wa Suntaa by the same score.
Asante Kotoko triumphed 2-1 over Benab FC, a team from Division Two.
