The Armories at the National Operations Department at the Ghana Police Headquarters in Accra was nearly destroyed by fire if it hadn’t been for the timely intervention of the Ghana National Fire Service.
According to source the fire started on Thursday 9 February 2023 at about some few munities past 9 in the morning but the GNFS were swiftly to have gotten to the scene which prevented the fire from spreading even though some of the armories were destroyed.
In a brief statement by the police which stated, ” there was nearly an inferno in one of the departments if it hadn’t been for the GNFS”.
As at now investigations has commence to uncover the cause of the fire, the police added.
