The remains of our dear brother Christian Atsu arrived to his home soil Ghana in a Turkey Airlines Yesterday at the Terminal 2. In the company of his elder brother who’s a reverend father, his twin sister and some of the members of the GFA.
He was welcomed by his family, a whole delegation from the government side which was led by the Vice President of the republic, Dr. Alhaji Mammud Bawumia, MoI Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Madam Cecilia Dappah minister of sanitation and water resource, the deputy minister of youth and sports hon. Evan Poku Bobie and a tall list of the football people with fifty journalist which the military gave permit for coverage.
The president couldn’t make it because he was attending the AU summit in Addis Baba in Ethiopia.
After the remains was handed to the government of Ghana through the Ghana Arm Forces, a Christian prayer was first said followed by a Muslim prayer. Both the pastor and the imam are from the military worship centers.

The remains was then conveyed to the 37 Military Hospital which will later be handed to the family. The funeral arrangement will be a collaborative effort between the GoG and the family, said Dr. Bawumia in his speech.
