Following the dismissal of their wards by the Ghana Education Service. The parents and guidiance of the Chiana 8 SHS students expressed their gratitude when the first gentleman of the land H.E Nana Akufo Addo intervenes. Through the Ministry of Education to the GES who withdrew the dismissal.
His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has intervened in the disciplinary action taken against the eight (8) students of Chiana Senior High School (SHS) who were dismissed by the Ghana Education Service (GES).

In a letter dated 13th January, 2023 from the Ministry of Education signed by Kwasi Kwateng, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Education (MoE), the Ministry directs GES to take alternative action against the students who insulted and defamed President Akufo-Addo.
The students remorsefully thank the President as well.
